Mujin, a robotics technology company, develops “machine intelligent” robot controllers that are designed as a common platform for industrial and collaborative robots specializing in logistics and manufacturing applications.

Launched in Tokyo in 2011 with offices in China, U.S. and Europe, Mujin works with many of the world’s largest companies to make material handling applications easier to deploy, more accurate and less costly.

The company’s flagship product, MujinController, uses machine intelligence technology (MujinMI) to give robotic systems real-time decision-making ability that enables truly autonomous, reliable, and production-capable robot applications.

MujinMI controls multi-axis machines and enables smarter applications with multiple degrees of freedom, empowering robots to move with precision and flexibility like never before. What sets Mujin apart is not just our technology – it’s our commitment to pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in robotics.

Sign up for a company presentation and immerse yourself in stimulating discussions with Mujin engineers, gaining valuable insights into the complexities of robotics and automation during the tech tour at Mujin HQ.

National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST)

Date & Time: May 17th, 13:00-14:45

Fee: JPY 1,000

Maximum Capacity: 40

At the AIST Tokyo Waterfront, we have groups with a research focus on robotics and AI. In 2018, the CPS Research Building was established, featuring realistic mock-ups of a factory, a convenience store, and various other settings. In this tour, after a brief introduction of the Artificial Intelligence Research Center (AIRC) and Industrial CPS Research Center (ICPSRC), you will visit our lab space and see robot demonstrations.

The demonstrations include 1) Training and semi-automatic error recovery of industrial robots based on virtual experiences,2) 3D modeling of a variety of products in the convenience store environment and cross-modal prediction using the models, 3) Automation of bio-experiments and human-to-robot skill transfer, 4) Digital twin with a worker and a robot, and real-time visualization of the human body load using a digital human model.
